As part of a collaboration with Plykea, I designed a CNC-machined plywood wall clock using workshop offcuts, extending Plykea’s approach to sustainable cabinetry into a smaller, adaptable product.

The form is minimal and clean, with circular geometry and carefully considered proportions. Attention was paid to the balance between positive and negative space, ensuring clarity and readability while maintaining a strong visual identity.

This project was a chance to engage directly with material reuse and digital fabrication, exploring how CNC processes can enhance precision and repeatability while still enabling personalisation. It also prompted reflection on how offcuts and surplus materials can be meaningfully reintegrated into the design process. Not as compromise, but as opportunity
